Riser was hired by National Geographic to program the front and back-end tools to create the My Shot online application. Riser created a safe online community for kids to share, review, rate and comment on photos. The site includes photo cropping, resizing, rating comments, dynamic galleries and slideshows, user profiles, offensive word censoring, backend moderation tools, parental controls, tags, categories, metric based browsing and a custom search engine. The Riser development team made quick work of some of the latest and greatest technologies to execute on this task including PHP (Kohana 3), MySQL, HTML, CSS (SCSS), CSS3, and JavaScript (jQuery).
