Neopets contacted Riser Media to create a game where an Indiana Jones-esque monkey that overthrows enemies and collects gems while darting flying dung and swinging from vines. Simple, right? Riser Media mustered the troops, including incredible illustration and programming whizzes, and delivered a three-tiered game complete with an interactive HUD and Amazonian ambience.
Created using ActionScript 3, the parallax environment scrolls smoothly across the screen as code is called from multiple robust libraries and classes. At the end of the game, points collected throughout the game are displayed on a bamboo screen and then sent to Neopets to be added to the player's Neopoints record.
