For more than a decade, members of the Riser Media team have been pioneers in the digital media world. We can regale you with stories of Telnetting onto the server and hand-coding HTML right on the live site. We remember when “View Source” was invented. We were building in Flash before it was called Flash. We have been invited many times to share our vast experience and knowledge base in various venues. We would be honored to assist in your next graphic design or development related venue as a speaker, panelist, or award judge.
UNIVERSITY LECTURE SERIES
Our team members have spoken at many universities (Brigham Young University, Utah Valley University, Stevens Henager College, and several others). We are always happy to share our thoughts with upcoming designers and programmers. We are well aware that they are the people we will be hiring a couple years from now and are happy to share ideas to help them get on the right track in their careers.

In his lecture “Nuggets from the Trenches,” Michael shares advice learned in the trenches of the graphic design industry. Each nugget relates to the core elements of success in graphic design: relationships, quality, and productivity. Drama is for soap operas, OCD is an attribute, don't work in a vacuum, hairy moles, and polishing turds are just a few of the popular words of wisdom that Michael is always happy to share.

Our team members will tell you that we love to judge graphic design. Heck, we judge their work every single day. We also have experience in formal design show judging. Most recently, Michael Janda was proud to serve as a judge at the Nashville Addy’s.
